Born on Majuro Atoll in 1973, Nishma Jamore was 42 years old when he passed away in Guam on August 17, 2015 from complications from a severe heart attack and chronic kidney issues. He is survived by his wife Annette Note and 4 children.

He graduated from Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, MD. He attended college in Oregon at Portland State and Pioneer Pacific College.

Mayor Jamore first won a Council seat from Kili Island at the age of 26 in 1999 and served for 8 years until 2007.

He won the Mayor seat for Bikini at the age of 38 in 2011.

He was known for his creative approach to government as he started several programs for the people of Bikini, including the Dartmouth volunteer teaching program, a life insurance program, and several other initiatives for the people of Bikini Atoll, including initiating the most recent resolutions asking the US government to help move the people of Bikini off Kili Island which now gets inundated by the sea each year during the King Tides.

Mayor Jamore was buried on the evening of August 29, 2015 in Rita Village, Majuro Atoll. Several thousand people attended the service.
