On Friday, September 15, 2000, the people of the Marshall Islands honored the late Bikinian Senator Henchi Balos. The service was attended by hundreds of people, including these students from the Calvary Bible Institute. |

The casket of the Senator was preceded by a National Police Honor Guard as many of the people who could not fit in the building watched. |

The casket was carried by the Kili/Bikini/Ejit Local Police Honor Guard followed by Bikinian Mayor Tomaki Juda [left], and Kwajalien Senator Ataji Balos, Senator Henchi Balos' uncle. |

Inside his children were greeted and given condolences by Iroij Kotak Loeak from the Council of Iroij. The ceremony was attended by dignitaries from the United States, Japan and Taiwan. |

The Honor Guard stood by the casket throughout the ceremonies that lasted almost 3 hours. |
